Cool mist, lush greenery, friendly people and our search for fairies did not disappoint. We spent much of August of 2022 escaping the heat at home and headed to the Scottish Highlands. We walked and talked and made new friends, ate gorgeous oysters and found ourselves completely smitten. From the outer reaches of the Black Isle to the curvaceous coast of the Kingdom of Fife we explored craggy cliffs , sandy beaches, gardens galore and impressive architecture. Picnics on the beach, visits to the pub and a decidedly slower pace was just what the doctor ordered. We returned to Belle Maison feeling rejuvenated and inspired.
