Belle Maison

Despite some of our summer flowers still blooming, it's full-on fall here at Belle Maison in south coast Massachusetts. We embrace the shift of seasons. We have a few tomatoes left from our little harvest–mostly greens—waiting to ripen. The herb garden, save for basil and other tender ones, looks robust despite our first real frost earlier this week.

We light the fire in the studio on a regular basis even on some really warm days. I pop into the ocean several days a week with my swimming buddies or solo.  Charles joins me whaleboat rowing early in the morning on the Acushnet River in New Bedford.

There are many uncertainties in the world. We try to stay grounded and to continue our work–to make life beautiful.

Please Check out the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts in Providence. Charles had work in a current juried exhibition:

Snapshot America; A Portrait of These United States in 2024
